Matt just discovered a show on an unknown station (Ovation?) called "Meetings with Remarkable Trees".

And get this.

It's really about remarkable trees!

We're recording an episode that will be on at 1:45 am. I will be sure to report back.

Hi. I know one of you out there can help me with this.

I need a copy of Adobe Acrobat. I don't know which aspect in particular, but whichever one (6.0 or higher) that has the Drawing Markup Tools. I have Drawing Markup on my computer at work, but I don't know what it's linked to. I have Adobe Professional, InCopy, and InDesign at work, so I assume that the drawing markup tools are associated with one of those programs (obviously, I could be wrong.) Anyway, I need this Drawing Markup Tool at home.

If it makes you feel any better about giving it to me/helping me get it, I do intend to purchase it if this freelance job comes to fruition. I just can't rationalize buying the entire program until it does. But I need the program to take the test to get in the freelance pool.

I know I can download a sample for a matter of days or whatever, but I'd rather not. I most likely will if none of you can (or are willing to) help me.

Matt went to his parents' house for the weekend because last weekend was his mom's birthday. My aunt and cousin were supposed to come into town for the weekend, so I wasn't going to go. They didn't end up coming, but I decided to stay home and take advantage of some alone time.

Last night I figured out how to work the new TV's split screen feature. So, I've been playing Harvest Moon on one half and watching TV on the other. It is beyond sweet. And the new TV's gargantuan size means that each half is about the same size as a 23 inch TV. I measured it. I'm a loser.

Matt called the other day and did the mortgage pre-approval thing, so all we need to do now is find a house. Easier said than done. I'm pretty picky, exterior-wise. I don't want an ugly looking exterior, which Matt is annoyed by. But whatever. I found a very cute house today in Canal Winchester, but I don't know if it has a basement. Matt wants to have a basement in which he can build a bar, so if there's no basement that's a no-go. We'll keep looking, but keep your fingers crossed for us!

Instead of playing video games and posting in LJ, I should be working on the stack of manuscript I brought home this weekend. I need to return the first 20 lessons to the author on Monday so we can get the style sheet finalized before the rest of the program starts to flow. I'll work all day tomorrow, I think. That sounds like a plan!

I'm sure no one is interested in that last paragraph, but I'm getting a bit paranoid because everything about this project needs to remain on schedule. If we don't pass Florida's state requirements the company would lose millions of dollars of revenue. Seriously. ASIOWEIOISADSOIGDJGH. I'm just nervous because this is a tremendous amount of responsibility for me, as I'm in charge of an entire grade level. It's crazy.

There I go again, blah blah blah. If you care, kudos. If not, I understand.

I was at Meijer and saw a book titled The Diabetic Cookbook. I laughed out loud and people looked at me like I was crazy. I just never knew that an inanimate object could be diabetic.

I'm sure none of you will find that funny. But come on. All it needs is an apostrophe+s to make sense. Sheesh.

Alright, I'm sure I've bored you enough for one Saturday night. Though if you're reading this, you were probably already bored to begin with.

Memoryyyyyyy..... Jul. 19th, 2006 @ 08:42 pm
I don't if anyone will do this, but I had fun doing it for someone else!!!

If you read this, even if we don't speak often, please post a comment with a completely made up and fictional memory of you and me.

It can be anything you want - good or bad - it just has to be fake.

When you're finished, post this little paragraph on your LJ and be surprised (or mortified) about what people don't actually remember about you.

We have a date! And a place! Woo hoo!

Work is ridiculously busy. I'm on two projects and we have deadlines coming up that we have to meet. But I like being busy. Keeps me from getting into trouble, ;-).

Also, my division is moving to a new office which is nice. I won't have to share a cubicle anymore!!! That will be awesome, since I'm running out of room for my shit. I've got 100 lessons of math manuscript, and now I'm starting to get reading manuscript. Stacks upon stacks of paper. I think the publishing industry may be responsible for the destruction of the rain forest because, damn, we use alot of paper.

Rachel called me tonight to recap an old episode of Arrested Development. She makes me giggle.

Now I'm going to watch some Last Comic Standing. GO CHRIS PORTER, AKA WILLY WONKA!!!!!!

Matt had to leave for Cleveland for work (until Thursday), and I thought I would be lonely. Well, I'm actually kind of enjoying myself. I went to Whole Foods and got a marinated Greek vegetable salad and some caramelized onion hummus. Mmmm. Though, I did have to eat it on the floor because the new television is currently residing on our coffee table. I like the new TV, but I also like my coffee table. The beast needs its own stand.

Last night Matt confessed that he loves his new TV more than me. He did say it would wear off eventually. Until we get a dog, because he'll love it more. And then when we have kids, he'll love them more than that. Sooooo, basically, I never get to be number one again. Boo hoo. ::wink::

I hope everyone's lives are going well. Rest assured that while I may rarely post, I'm always reading (maybe for the celebrity gossip, but I still peruse your entries, I swear!)

Now he's sucking on my neck AND slapping me. I cannot defend against this!

» Matt thinks he's the coolest...
Matt keeps slapping my face. It is the most annoying thing that anyone has ever done to me. Right now, he's trying to get me to lift my arms above my head so he can do it again. I'm not going to take the bait.

My glasses are broken so I am wearing a pair from my senior year of high school. Hellllllo, headaches!

Today I went and checked out a potential location for our wedding. I looooooooooooove the facility and all that crap, but I haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaate the location. For those familiar with Columbus, it's across the street from Eastland Mall. The place shares a driveway with a Public Storage, for heaven's sake. We're going to look at another place on Saturday, so we'll see.

I get to go get fondled by a stranger tomorrow morning. Hot!

Matt gets every other Friday off at his new job. That makes me a wee bit jealous.

Dammit. Matt just made a sad face at me and I fell for it. He slapped me again. Oh boy, he's so annoying. Anyone looking for an annoying engineer, and want to adopt mine?
» My Saturday
Today I cleaned the upstairs all morning. That was nice. Then Matt and I spoke to our moms when they called to thank us for the stuff we sent them. I sent Matt's mom a nice arrangement of Irises, and I sent my mom a gigantic fortune cookie. Seriously, gigantic! It measured 7 inches across and weighed 1 pound. My mom said it tasted good, so that's good.

Well, Matt decided he wanted sushi for lunch and the nearest place to get some decent sushi is Whole Foods. For those of you who scoff at grocery store sushi, go to Whole Foods before you say anything. Their sushi is actually fantastic. So I went. And I had to park like 4 stores away (for those who know the Dublin Whole Foods, I was parked in the Aquarium store parking lot.) Ridiculous. And the store was freaking packed. I normally go to Whole Foods in the evening during the week, so this was my first Saturday go-round. Someone hit me with their cart! Ridiculous.

On my way home, I was cut off by two people. I freaking hate people.

But it gets better.

A while later Matt and I decided to go grocery shopping. As we were perusing the aisles, we passed this one family several times. The little girl was wearing a purple princess dress, white socks, one sandal, and one tennis shoe. The mother also had two little boys with her as well. The first time we passed them, the girl had taken off the top of her dress, and her chest was exposed. The mother told her to put her sleeves back on, and as Matt and I turned the corner I heard her say, "I'm going to cut my arm off!" The second time we saw them one of the little boys was holding up a pear and his mother was telling him he couldn't have it, while the little girl ran around the produce section. Then, as we were checking out guess who was behind us in line? The same family! The little girl took off her shoes and threw them and one of the boys was pulling candy off of the shelves in the checkout line. If I was that woman I would have been crying hysterically. I felt so bad for her.

Anyway, my nerves are shot. Now I'm watching Anchorman. I love Steve Carell.
